Programs are subject to change depending on availability, opportunity, and or sudden changes in barometric pressure.
- February 2012 -- Tom Cowan will present a program on "Early Tennessee Cabinet Making".
- January 2012 -- The January program will be
presented by Kenneth Daniel. Kenneth is a long-time saw sharpener
who lives in Tullahoma. A lot of the club
members have used Kenneth’s services in the past with great results. Here is a chance to get all your “saw sharpening” questions answered by
a local expert. - December 20 -- Super show and tell -- Our annual time to show off what you've ever done or discuss whatever (wood related) subject you wish.
- November 15 -- "CNC -- A trend in Woodworking?" with Bob Addington.
- October 18 -- The October program will be presented by Steve
Shores. He will be discussing the process/procedure that he uses in
the making of his unique ornaments. These items make great Christmas
gifts. Come out and see how he does it and it might give you some
ideas for your Christmas list.
- September 20 -- The program will be presented by Loyd Ackerman. Entitled “The Computer as a Woodworking Tool” the program will discuss uses for computers in woodworking and demonstrate how your computer can be used to get the most out of what the Club provides
- August 16 -- im Everett will be discussing the steps in the making of Intarsia
- July 19 -- John Lucas will present a program on making tools. This should be a good one folks. It will talk to woodworkers on how to make tools for their specific needs.
- June 21 -- “Video: A tour of Gary Runyon’s workshop.” Don't miss a tour that shows Gary's prowess with wood and metals making art and tools.
- May 17 -- Regular meeting in H111 at UTSI -- The program will be by Mike Bell from the State Museum in Nashville.
- April 19 -- The program will be by Debra Crane, an expert on scroll saw work. She works at Woodcraft of Franklin. Look at http://www.debracranewoodworks.com./ to see some of her work.
- March 15th -- Mike Brumfield of Sparta will be our March program. It will be his take on chainsawing bears, sea captains, mountain men and Indians from logs.
- February 15th -- Alf Sharp will be back to do a program on Furniture. Alf has a long history of making furniture reproductions and always has interesting stories to share.
- Jan. 18th - Loyd Ackerman and Henry Davis are presenting a program titled “Odds and Ends”. There will be a multitude of issues addressed in the program. There will be some general woodworking, safety alerts, some carving and some other “stuff”. Be sure to attend the January 18th meeting and see what Loyd and Henry have in store for us.
