1. Each video will be marked with its own call number along with the title of the selection. Click here to see example!
2. The call number will be on the video cover and on the video itself and be the main identification of the video.
3. The call number will be four digits and will always be a 2000 series number.
4. When checking out a video, the call number will be entered on the “Library Check Out Sheet” along with other required information.
5. Checked out video will be due at the next monthly meeting.
6. Members will be limited to checking out one video series per month.
7. Members with videos past due will not be allowed to check out another video.
8. Donated video disk and tapes will be accepted. No books, magazines or other printed material will be accepted.
9. Acceptance of donated videos will be at the soul discretion of the Club Librarian.
10. Any donated videos will become the property of The Tennessee Valley Workers Club and the Club will not be responsible for loss or damage.
11. A current listings of library videos will be published in the newsletter monthly and also posted on the club site.
12. The video library will be for members only.
SOME THINGS FOR MEMBERS TO CONSIDER
Past due videos - While we will not access fines for past due videos or drum you out of the club, we do ask that you make every effort to return videos when they are due. If you should wonder when a video is due, here is a way to remember --- If you have it in your possession, it’s due at the next meeting! --- Be considerate of other club members that may be waiting to check them out. If a video is past due, you might get a reminder call from the Librarian.
Lost videos- If you should happen to lose one of the club videos please inform the Librarian of this so we can replace this selection if a duplicate is available.
Damaged videos - If you should damage a video, please report this to the Librarian. That way the damaged selection can be removed from the library and not checked out by some unsuspecting member that will wonder what is wrong with his player.
Handling videos - If you are checking out videos we assume you have some videos of your own and ask that you handle the club videos as carefully as you do your own. Please return all videos in the original covers.
Selection Availability - Videos will be checked out only at our regular monthly meetings. A reservation list will be available at the meeting for videos that are already checked out. If a member with a reservation doesn’t pick up the video at the next meeting, they relinquish their reservation.
Suggestions - Since the video library concept is new to the club and especially new to your Librarian any suggestions or constructive criticism will be welcome. Any suggestions made at the meeting are requested to be in writing as you know things have tendency to be hectic at the meetings.
